Welcome to Cryptic Inquiry
CI started out as a small group of widely-experienced researchers and investigators based in the North of Ireland, and we actively investigated a variety of mysterious phenomena, Forteana, hauntings, apparitions, cryptid reports, UFO/UAPs and other weird and wonderful phenomena across the whole of Ireland and beyond.
Rather than a group you join, CI is a loose federation of people with broadly similar interests – we have contacts and team members who specialise in photo analysis, video analysis, sound analysis, interviewing, site inspections, metaphysics, desk and library research, etc.
The site is run, edited and maintained by myself, Maurice Milligan and I trace my first interests in the paranormal and unexplained back to the mid-70s with Usbourne books about UFOs, Ghosts, etc, the terrific Arthur C. Clarke’s Mysterious World on UK television, and also to the Admiral series of Three Investigators paperbacks. All soundly based in fact and analysis and not Scooby-Doo material at all!
